Originally from Alabama, Ian moved to Boston at the age of fourteen. Although not dancing professionally until his early 20's, Ian always had a passion for music and movement.

In 2001 he joined a dance troupe called Phunk Phenomenon from America's Best Dance Crew (ABDC). Dedicated to learning the art, he quickly advanced from dancer to lead choreographer. During that time he choreographed for the Boston Celtics and also work closely with recording artists such as Jordan Knight. Later becoming the assistant director of the company, Ian played an instrumental role in starting "Lil' Phunk" - the official kids dance troupe of the Boston Celtics.

Since leaving ABDC, Ian trained and performed and choreographed for varios artists such as Selena Gomez, Beyonce, Christina Milian, Alicia Keys, Janelle Monáe, and many more.

For the past 10 years, Ian has been performing with Lady Gaga as a featured dancer in over 10 music videos and in all her WORLD TOURS. He's performed in Super Bowl 51 as well as numerous commercials and tv shows including but not limited to Gilmore Girls, Hunger Games, The Voice, and X factor.
