Ballroom

Ashley Sanchez is a professional Ballroom dancer, instructor and competitor.

She was born and raised in Miami, Florida and began dancing and competing in all styles of dance including contemporary, lyrical, jazz, hip-hop, ballet, flamenco, and ballroom at eight years old. As a teenager, she began training in the International Latin dance style with several world renowned instructors and judges and quickly fell in love with the style. Her competitive Latin Ballroom career began as an amateur competitor which included placing in the top 3 of some of the nation's top competitions. She became a professional competitor at the early age of 18.

Some of her results as a professional have included winning and placing in the finals of the nations most prestigious competitions. She is the 2016 National Mambo champion and the U.S and World Rising Star American Rhythm Vice-Champion. Aside from being a competitive dancer and teacher, Ashley has also appeared on numerous TV shows such as FOX hit show “So You Think You Can Dance” where she was in the Top 10 girls and is also currently a lead professional dancer and choreographer on Univision’s Latin version of Dancing with the Stars called “Mira Quien Baila”. She is currently enjoying traveling and teaching at ballroom dance studios and dance conventions across the nation and looks forward to bringing the Ballroom heat to ADE!
