Anthony Gabriel was first recognized in his youth by So You Think You Can Dance choreographers Mandy Moore and Tyce Diorio. A graduate of Larkin Dance Studio, his higher education includes studying dance at the University of Iowa as well as business and economics at the University of Minnesota where he graduated with a created degree combining the three disciplines. Locally (Minneapolis) he has choreographed/performed with SHAPESHIFT, Crash Dance Productions, Poetry in Motion Dance, The Minnesota Dance Medicine Foundation, and Drop The Mic! Outside of the Midwestern U.S. Anthony’s professional experience lists: America’s Got Talent, Paula Abdul, Silentó “Whip/Nae Nae,” Tori Kelly, Omi, Official Prince Tribute Concert, WE Day, Guten Morgen Deutschland, Monte-Carlo Sporting Summer Festival, YouTube, DanceOn, Microsoft, MAC Cosmetics, Aveda, Sephora, Broadway Dance Center, Steps On Broadway, Peridance Capezio Center, Intrigue Dance Intensive, Velocity Dance Convention, Artistic Dance Exchange, Candance North America and many more. For a large part of 2015 and 2017 Anthony Toured Europe and Asia with Rasta Thomas’ Bad Boys of Dance performing their hit show, Best of Rock The Ballet through Adrienne Canterna’s SweetBird Productions. He has starred in the show over 120 times. Equivalent in importance to his professional work, Anthony is a passionate educator. His teaching experience is four continents strong, including most of the professional studios and touring conventions listed above. Anthony encourages students to defy normalcy, embrace intuition, and accept all movement as valid. He takes pride in his teaching versatility, accounting from multidisciplinary studies, and strives to share learned experiences through his body and mind.
